Our Quality Commitment

We have been in business for over 100 years. To remain successful for the next 100 years, we are committed to delivering food solutions of the best quality and value for our customers around the world.

We are committed to…

…Quality

  • We exclusively use Premium White Feather Birds for their tender and juicy meat
  • We exclusively use chickens guaranteed to be growth hormone free
  • We exclusively use chickens raised without antibiotics that are defined by the WHO as Highest Priority Critically Important Antimicrobials (HPCIA) for human medicine
  • We exclusively use an all-vegetarian diet for our chickens, balanced with amino acids and probiotics to ensure the health of our chickens as well as the most tender and juicy chicken meat for our food products
  • We provide a stress-free environment for our chickens

    …Best-in-Class Standards

Our relentless commitment to quality has garnered us many accolades. The continuous improvement of chicken welfare in our Shandong facility, for example, was recognised with the “3 Star Good Chicken Production Award” by the organisation Compassion in World Farming in an award ceremony in London in 2017. We have also been awarded a Japan export permit for our Hebei plant by Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

    …Animal Welfare

We operate to the highest global standards – but we always strive for more. We allow fewer chickens per square meter than national regulations would allow us in order to provide a nurturing environment for our chickens. Otto & Sons Asia’s chickens are 100% cage-free and roaming on litter floors to provide an environment that encourages more natural chicken behaviour.

    …Caring for People

Caring for our workers and the communities in which we operate is a key component of our work to achieve the best results. We care tremendously for everyone who is part of the Otto & Sons family. That is why we work closely with communities to give back in meaningful ways, such as our scholarship program for women from disadvantaged families – which has grown from less than 40 scholarships to over 100 in just a few years; or why we frequently provide opportunities for staff at all levels to enhance their skills – to ensure that they are well-trained and able to progress in their careers, such as the JFS-C training conducted by Japanese food quality and safety experts in Hebei conducted in 2019.

This commitment to those who make us successful is the reason why we are famous in the industry for our low staff turnover and employee loyalty.
