Otto & Sons Asia is the East Asia division of OSI Group.
We have a long history in Asia and have been active in Japan since 1984. Since 1991, Otto & Sons Asia has operated its first facility in China’s Hebei Province to centrally supply markets in Asia with quality food products.
Japanese Quality Assurance
Operating with best-in-class food safety and quality systems, our Hebei facility is one of only a handful in China approved by Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries that meets all standards required for exporting to Japan. The factory has also been reviewed by Japanese quality assurance organisations and our staff have been trained by Japanese food quality experts according to Japan’s highest-level food safety and quality management standard, JFS-C.
Vertically Integrated Production
The chickens for our Hebei food production are supplied by our operation in China’s Shandong Province. We take great pride in our fully vertically integrated production: we run a closed system to retain full quality control, from the breeder, layer, hatchery, and broiler farms, the feed mill, and the slaughterhouse, all the way to distribution. It is a system that has worked well to protect both our and our customers’ brands and helps ensure highest food safety standards.
Awards
In 2017, our efforts in chicken animal health and welfare were recognised with the “3 Star Good Chicken Production Award” awarded to our Shandong poultry operation by the organisation Compassion in World Farming in London.
